Specialization: medicine law, design and construction law, environmental protection, advocacy and representation of aggrieved parties in criminal matters, representation in court in civil matters.

Since 2010 Ilze Vilka has been a sworn advocate at the Latvian Collegium of Sworn Advocates. Until 2013 she practiced individually, rendering counselling to clients and running cases on issues relating to the medicine law, commercial law, rent of residential property, design and construction and other matters.

Ilze Vilka has extensive experience in the fields of medicine law, commercial law, design and construction. Such experience has been gained during legal practice and work at the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development and at an international enterprise of engineers and environmental consultancy and at the bureau of sworn advocates. The experience encompasses elaboration of contracts, legal proceedings, purchase and sale of enterprises and due diligence issues, advocacy and representation of aggrieved parties in criminal matters, specifically in the field of medicine and public health.

Ilze Vilka has been a lecturer since 2012 at the Riga Stradins University Faculty of Law and teaches the legal course on the medicine law and healthcare organization.
Ilze Vilka is fluent in Latvian (mother tongue), English, German and Russian languages, she is also a sworn translator.
