Guntars Precinieks is the founder of the advocate bureau Precinieks and has been a sworn advocate since 2004.
Since 2001 Guntars Precinieks has lectured international private law and civil procedure disciplines at the University Of Latvia Faculty Of Law. Longstanding teaching evidences that the theory of law in the professional work of Guntars Precinieks is not a less important corner stone than practice.
Guntars Precinieks has extensive experience in representing clients in cavil matters, inter alia, in disputes on property rights to real property, debt collection, responsibility of members of board and council of commercial companies, as well as on construction disputes.
Guntars Precinieks represents clients’ interests in complicated transactions involving real property, largest in Latvia construction contracts (including FIDIC), multilateral settlement negotiations, in company acquisition and merger transactions, shareholder disputes. Guntars Precinieks is distinguished by his ability to hold multilateral complicated negotiations and to construe and execute agreements of parties involved legally correctly.
Guntars Precinieks represents clients’ interests in more than 20 foreign countries, including Russia, Belarus, Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Lithuania, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Malta, Switzerland, England and Wales, USA (Ohio), Luxemburg, Armenia, Austria, Slovenia etc. Experience gained in cross-border activities enables to look at solutions to legal issues from a wider point of view.
